Yoga Teacher | Kids Yoga | Ayurveda Enthusiast

Simone shares her love of yoga with light-hearted, feel-good Vinyasa Flow classes. Focusing on syncing movement with breath, she will share ancient yogic philosophy and Ayurveda wisdom that will help you peel back any restrictions to open your heart, body and soul to your best self.

A certified Yoga Alliance teacher, trained by the inspirational Duncan Peak and his industry-leading teacher training school Power Living, Simone brings Wanganui its very first Vinyasa Flow classes – a more yang style suited to those after a modern, flowing practice that builds strength, flexibility in both body and mind.

Off the mat, Simone works as a communications freelancer and is Mum to two lively monkeys. Healthy-eating and living is her thing after experiencing its positive healing effects on her own health. With constant curiosity for knowledge and a desire to help others live pain-free, Simone continues to educate herself through workshops and further training in both yoga and yoga’s sister science, Ayurveda.

Yoga Teacher | Yin Yoga | Nature-loving Tea Drinker

A dedicated yin yoga teacher, trained under some of the industries best – Karla Brodie, Neal Ghoshal, Vincent Bolletta and Dyana Wells – Belinda’s yin classes offer a safe and truly nourishing experience for the mind, body and spirit through the integration of asana (poses) and pranayama (breath).

Belinda has been ‘playing’ yoga for over 10 years. However, it was when some serious health issues surfaced in 2011 that her practice took on a deeper approach, and when she experienced first-hand the mental, physical and emotional healing powers of yoga.

Today, Belinda’s own practice entails a mixture of yin and yang yoga – two complementary forces for the ultimate balance.  She describes her yoga practice as “my happy place of being and not just doing”.

Yoga Teacher | Pre/postnatal Yoga | Wellness Advocate

Originally from California, Tiana discovered yoga in 2009 and says “it felt like coming home”. Forced by hip and shoulder injuries to stop dancing at the height of her training, yoga revived something deep within her.

Tiana knew from her first class that she wanted to share the practice of yoga with others and went on to study Vinyasa Flow with Jason Crandell, named by Yoga Journal as ‘one of the teachers shaping the future of yoga’, as well as Kundalini Yoga with acclaimed teachers Guru Jagat and Gurmukh.

Tiana practiced prenatal yoga during her first pregnancy, which taught her to slow down and stay in touch with her growing, changing body. It was after the birth of her second daughter, that she responded to a deep calling to train in prenatal and postnatal yoga to help fellow mothers through such transformational times.

Tiana is an avid reader and always has a book in hand – usually something in the realm of yoga, wellness or philosophy. Her writing has been featured in ‘Do You Yoga’ and ‘Yogi Times’. Tiana also loves spending time in nature and with her husband and two daughters.

Meditation Teacher | Playlist Master | Resident DJ

Simon has experienced first-hand the mind/body benefits of meditation after discovering and practicing it some five years ago.

As an intermediate school teacher by day, he has also seen how helpful it is for his students in bringing more focus and calm to their school-life.

Simon will be offering classes later in 2019 following completion of some pretty epic training; meanwhile he is the genius behind the playlists in Simone’s vinyasa classes. A perfect fit for the task given his love of music, a decade of experience as a London DJ and his current past-time as bass guitarist in local band Kessel. Simon mixes live at some of our feel-good events. He is married to Simone and is working on his two lively monkeys to sit in more ‘quiet’ meditation. You can find some of the Tickle My Feet Yoga playlists on Spotify.
