A unique opportunity for your child to join a before school yoga and mindfulness class at St Johns Hill School.
Led by Simone Grant (a certified yoga teacher for both adults and children), this is a term one, 6-week activity that will help your child learn ways to cultivate more inner calm and peace, naturally.
Each class will have a unique theme and includes fun movement, mindfulness, breathing and social-emotional techniques that they can use in every day life.
All sessions aim to help your child to release stress, regulate their nervous system, express and integrate feelings and attend to the present moment.
Some of the benefits of your child practicing regular yoga and mindfulness includes:

- Increasing creativity and ability to learn – brains in pain can’t learn
- Cultivating self-regulation and acceptance of emotions
- Reducing stress and anxiety

This 6-week class is open for 5 to 9 year olds and is limited to 15 children – ensuring those that attend get the most out of this special time. And as it is supported and held onsite at St Johns Hill school, registration is only open to St Johns Hill School students and their family (brother or sister).
Please note that it is the responsibility of you/your child to arrive at the school hall on time (or just before). Please remind your child to wait outside the school hall, where they can place their bag and shoes. They will have around five minutes of free time before the first school bell rings at 8:50am. If you’re child needs adult help to make their way safely and comfortably to class, please let Simone know and she will try to accomodate.
To secure your spot, register using the form below and make the payment of $60 into the Tickle My Feet Yoga bank account (38-9019-0371435-01) using your child’s name as the reference.
